CNC Machined Beam Forged Steel (5140 Steel) rods are recommended for engines in bracket, oval track, and almost all street and strip applications up to 550 horsepower. They are better than a stock rod but not as strong as an H-Beam. Mild Power Adders can be used. Recommended Torque is 45lbs. w/Moly Lube.
Manufactured for high horsepower applications (1000 horsepower and up) where strength is mandatory but a significant reduction in weight is desired, Lightweight Steel Connecting Rods are manufactured of 4340 Steel which provide excellent strength to weight ratio and are about 50 grams lighter than most H-beams. The Lightweight features 7/16 ARP cap screws and are doweled to eliminate cap walk . Great for use with Power Adders. Recommended Torque is 63lbs. w/Moly Lube.
For use in very high rpm engines, two barrel oval track, and drag
motors with no power adders. Designed to provide maximum performance
with a minimum of rotating mass. Ultralight Rods are painstakingly
manufactured from premium 2 piece 4340 steel forgings, which will insure
proper grain flow for maximum strength. They are then fully machined on
the latest in CNC equipment to ensure dimensional accuracy. Lastly ARP
8740 rod bolts are installed through the doweled rod caps.
Great for wild street to all out race use up to 800 horsepower and feature a more advanced design than Machine-Beam Rods, H-Beam Steel Rods are precision forged of select 4340 aircraft quality steel, vacuum degassed to remove impurities. They are forged in two pieces to insure proper grain flow, then all surfaces are CNC machined into a track proven H-Beam design and shot-peened to relieve stress. Silicon Bronze bushings are then installed for increased wear resistance and precision ground alignment sleeves are added to the rod cap to prevent cap walk under high horsepower loads. Great with any level of Power Adder. Recommended Torque is 63lbs w/Moly Lube.
